This is a statue of the ship of The Flying Dutchman (a legend)
I have chosen for this piece of art because l like the stories about The Flying Dutchman. I also like to watch the movie: Pirates of the Caribbean which is based on the legend of The Flying Dutchman. Another reason why I have chosen for this piece of art, is that I like the statue ( in the picture above) with the ship and waves on it. This statue is located on the Scheldeboulevard in Terneuzen and is made by Joeri Stubbe in 2007.
